Bessie E. KIRK, 75, Kewanna, died 6:49 a.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.
Born in Midland County, Mich. to Merrit and Katy SMALL GAULT, she married Sam H.
KIRK on Feb. 14, 1947 in Indianapolis. He survives in Kewanna.
Mrs. Kirk worked for Caston schools. She was a member of the Fletcher Lake United
Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
Survivors include two daughters, Lucy and husband Bill SEE, Fulton, Connie and husband
Bill STUBER, Portland, Ore.; three sons, Tony KIRK, Indianapolis, Richard KIRK, Dade City,
Florida, and Charlie and wife Debbie KIRK, Rochester; eight grandchildren, Lori KINGERY,
Dulcie STUBER, Kristi DENTON, Katy [KIRK], Kyla [KIRK] and Nicky KIRK, Ryan
BARNETT, Shelley SCHILLING; five great-grandchildren, Mitchell KERR, Holly [KINGERY]
and Jacob KINGERY, Jaycee DENTON, Cearra CASTLEMAN; two brothers, Elium and wife
Donna GAULT, Hazelet, N.J. and Earl and wife Ruth GAULT, Deedsville;
four sisters, Essie SIDERS, Kewanna, Vivian OTTO, Apopka, Fla., Donna and husband Paul
REFFETT, Lagrange, Nellie and husband Bob McGREW, Fulton.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Anna CHAMP, four brothers, two infants and Lloyd
[GAULT] and George GAULT.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Fletchers Lake United Methodist Church with Rev. David
SOMMERS officiating. Burial will be in Fletchers Lake Cemetery. Friends may call noon to 2
p.m. Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association
