ROCHESTER SENTINAL OBITUARY - 09/06/2011 - Richard L. "Buff" Kirk, 52, Dade City, Fla., and formerly of Fulton County, passed away at 12:16 p.m. Aug. 29, 2011 at his residence. He was born on Nov. 5, 1958, in Rochester to Sam and Bessie (Gault) Kirk. He was a 1976 graduate of Caston High School. Mr. Kirk had resided in Florida for over 30 years and had been a self-employed carpenter, as well as working for Scharber Flooring, Inc. as a floor installer for over 28 years in Dade City. He enjoyed canoeing with his daughter, clogging, skeet shooting at the farm, ping-pong, fishing, spending time with his family and friends, and regularly attending the Kirk family reunion on Memorial Day weekend in Indiana. Survivors include his daugther, Nicolet "Nikki" Kirk and her mother, Ingrid Linders, both of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; brothers, Tony Kirk, Whiteland, and Charlie and his wife Debbie Kirk, Rochester; sisters, Lucy and her husband Bill See, Fulton, and Connie and her husband Bill Stuber, Portland, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Fulton, with Pastor Bruce Russell officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fletcher's Lake Cemetery, Fletcher's Lake.
