Elium E. Gault, 85, Hazlet, N.J., father of Albert E. Gault, Watertown, was found dead Friday morning at his home.

Mr. Gault was a retired minister. He served Congregational churches in Plattsville and Springfield, Ohio, and Chillicothe, Ill., and Unitarian Universalist churches in Woodstock, Vt., and Manchester, N.H.

Born March 9, 1922, in Coleman, Mich., a son of James Merrit and Katy Grace Small Gault, he served in the Army in Germany and France during World War II.

He graduated from Indiana Central College, Indianapolis, and Bonebrake Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio.

He married Donna B. Heltzel on May 23, 1943, at Olive Branch Evangelical United Brethren Church, Fulton, Ind. Mrs. Gault died July 7, 2001.

Surviving besides his son are another son, James R., Hazlet, N.J.; a daughter, Patti L. Muset, Browns Mills, N.J.; two sisters and three grandchildren.

There will be no funeral or calling hours. The body will be donated to the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Anatomical Association, Piscataway, N.J.
