Perry James Everhart, 87, died at 8:45 o'clock Sunday night at his home in Hoagland. He had been ill four weeks. Mr. Everhart was a member of the Friends church at Monroe.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mabel Everhart; five sons, Pvt. Howard Everhart of Ft. Lewis, Wash; Perry, Jr., of Hoagland, Allen and Melvin of Hot Springs, Ark., and Tony of Kendallville; two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Cloud of Hot Springs and Mrs. Mollie Cook of Decatur; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Ake funeral home at Poe and will be returned to the residence in Hoagland Wednesday morning. Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the residence and at 2:30 o'clock at the Friends church in Monroe. Burial will be in the Ray cemetery.
