Funeral services were held Thursday for John W. Hale, 51, of 511 Niagara Street, Toronto, Ohio, a native of Hopewell, Bedford County, who died at the Ohio Valley Hospital at Steubenville, Ohio, at 3 p. m. on Monday, December 15, 1958. Interment was made in the Fort Steuben Burial Estates. Mr. Hale, a Toronto trucker, was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital after he was
found lying unconscious beside his truck at the Sentle Trucking Corp., on the Toronto Road. Death was attributed to an apparent heart attack. He was born May 7, 1907, in Hopewell, a son of Charles and Gertrude Hale. He was married to the former Georgena Blair of Six Mile Run. They had resided at Toronto for the past 34 years. The deceased is survived by his wife, his father of Tyrone,
one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Barz of Toronto, and one son, William Hale of Toronto There are two grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Adaline Smith,
Everett; Mrs. Robert Kingston, Mrs. Calvin Harris and Miss Mary Hale, all of Tyrone; Mrs. Nathan Burns, Altoona; Fred Hale, Toronto; Charles Hale, Clearfield; and Hershel Hale, Tyrone. Two brothers preceded him in death.
