DEATH OF WM. GORDON
An Old and Respected Pioneer Citizen of Clark County.
Mr. Wm. Gordon, of Bethel township, died yesterday morning at his residence, four miles west of the city, from a stroke of paralysis.
Mr. Gordon was an aged and honored citizen of this county. He was one of Clark county's pioneer citizens, having removed here at the age of 12 years.
Mr. Gordon was born in Bourtetourt county, Va., and at the time of his death was 88 years of age. He was the father of seventeen children, all of whom, but one, a daughter, lived to old age.
The interment will take place in Bethel cemetery, the services being held at Bethel church at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning. The funeral sermon will be delivered by Rev. W.J. Beck, Baptist, of Piqua.
