East Jordan - Funeral services for Stanley Leroy Murray, 55, who died Friday, November 22, were held at 3 p.m. Monday from the Watson Funeral Home Rev. Dale Turner, of the United Missionary Church, officiated and interment was in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Murray was born in East Jordan July 12, 1919 and served with the U. S. Army during World War II. He married the former Alice Weiler in 1968.
He was a member of the Rebec-Sweet Post of the American Legion and the VFW at Central Lake. Mr. Murray was a mason by trade.
Survivors include his wife; two sons by a former marriage, Peter, at Orlando, Florida and James, serving with the U. S. with the Armed Forces; two step-daughters, Sheery and Sandra, Detroit; hsi mother, Mrs. Grace Murray, East Jordan; six brothers, Rex, Leo and Dale, East Jordan, Max, Charlevoix, Russell, Detroit,and Lloyd, Heber Springs, Ark., and one sister, Mrs. Verna Slack, Detroit.
