WAYMAN COOK BURIED THURSDAY
A large crowd of relatives and friends gathered at the city cemetery Thursday 2:30 PM to be present for the funeral service of Mr. Wayman Cook. The service was conducted by Rev. Carr, pastor of the Apostolic church of which church Mr. Cook was an active member.
Mr. Cook was near 40 years of age, and is survived by his wife and eight children, six living at home. Also he is survived by five brothers and two sisters.
He was married in the fall of 1905 to Miss Bam Clakely.
Mr. Cook was first stricken with acute indigestion while at work in town Tuesday of the past week. Chills and fever followed and his death Wednesday 9:45 AM came very unexpected.
Mr. Cook was a deacon in the Apostolic Church and was a most faithful and earnest church worker. He was a good man and a man who was upright and honest in his dealings. The going of such citizens causes great regret. Sincere sympathy is extended the orphan children and bereaved wife."
