Services for Mrs. Belle E. Bader, 88, of 212 W. Columbia st., will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Littleton funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Robert L. Klausmeier, pastor of Clifton Avenue Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to services.
Mrs. Bader died at 12:25 a.m. Saturday in a local nursing home following three months of serious illness and three years of failing health.
She was born in Warren County, Ind., Nov. 9, 1870, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Timmons Thompson, and lived in Springfield approximately 45 years, where she held membership in the Clifton Avenue Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Nona Leichner, Columbus, and Mrs. Mary Fennessy, Springfield; four sons, John, Detroit, and Percy, Lewis and Russell, all Springfield; a brother, Edward Thompson, Onaway, Mich.; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
