Mary R. Bader was born March 30, 1905, in West Lebanon, Indiana, and played the piano with the family band before her marriage to James Fennessy.
Mary was a nurse in the Springfield, Ohio hospitals.
She was devoted to her church and helped the needy and poor. She was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Sodality of the Parish, the St. Raphael Mercy Guild and the Domin-ican Aids.
Mary and James had one son, Tom Fennessy, a writer for the Columbus Dispatch newspaper. He died in October 1982 at the age of 44.
Mary died March 20, 1968 in Lima, Ohio, and is buried in St. Bernards Cemetery (in Springfield, Ohio).

Mrs. Mary R. Fennessy, 62, of 122 Beatrice st., died at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday in St. Rita's Hospital in Lima following one week of failing health.
She was born in West Lebanon, Indiana the daughter of John and Belle Thompson Bader, and had resided here almost all her life.
Mrs. Fennessy was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Chruch, the Altar Rosary Sodality of the parish, the Mercy Guild and the Dominican Aids.
Survivors include her husband, James B.; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Norma) Rine of Springfield; one son, Thomas, of Columbus; two brothers, Louis Bader of Springfield and John R. Bader of Sarasota, Florida; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her body was taken to O'Brien-Kenney Funeral Home where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Raphael Church.
The Dominican Aids will conduct rosary services at 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Dominican Aids. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
