Father of Mary E. b. 1849, Nancy J. b. 1851, Simeon b. 28 Mar 1853, Joseph b. 25 Jan 1855, Abigail Elva b. 1856, George W. b. 21 Jan 1859, Ansel b. 31 Jan 1860, Henry b. 1863, James W. b. 3 Jul 1865, Edward b. 1867, Sarah, and Elizabeth Belle b. 9 Nov 1890.

THOMPSON FAMILY
George Thompson, son of Jasper(Joseph) and Elizabeth Thompson, was born in Ross County, Ohio, in 1825, and when twelve years of age, came with his parents to Warren County. In 1848 he married Elizabeth Timmons, the daughter of Joseph and Eleanor (Bailey) Timmons, who also arrived in Indiana from Ross County, Ohio. Elizabeth's grandfather, William Bailey, built the first house in what became Milford(Green Hill), and in this house Elizabeth was born on October 29, 1829.
Mr. Thompson served as Road Superintendent of Warren County during the 1880's. George and Elizabeth were affiliated with the United Brethren Church.
In their later years, George and Elizabeth moved to Harper, Kansas where George died July 9, 1895. He was buried at Danville, Ks. Elizabeth was an invalid the last seventeen years of her life; she died April 12, 1919, and is buried in Davis Cemetery.
George and Elizabeth were parents to twelve children, but several died young. Those children reaching adulthood: 1. Mary E. (Molly) was born at Green Hill in 1849. She married William Perry in 1869, in Kansas. The family moved to Danville, Kansas in 1888 and to Harper Kansas in 1904. Molly died in Harper, Kansas in 1915. 2. Nancy J. was born in 1851, married John W. James and had one daughter, Nellie J. 3. Simeon Thompson was born in 1853, and married Eunice Harmon, the daughter of Abraham and Elizabeth Harmon. Simeon and his family moved to Kansas where he was engaged in a grocery business with William Perry, his brother-in-law; the partnership was disolved in 1885.
Eunice died in 1949 - Simeon in 1925. They had the following children: George, Nellie, Earl, Bert, who married Eva Franklin, the daughter of Joseph and Emma (Stephenson) Franklin, Mae, Carrie, William, who married Merlyn Thompson and by her had three sons, George Gregory, William Merideth and Gordon Curtis; Everett, Leroy and Fred. 4. Abigail Elva Thompson was born in 1856 and married Dr. Andrew James McAdams, the son of Valentine Best and Evaline (Meers) McAdams. They were married May 31, 1877 in Warren County and raised a large family: George William, Sr., James, Daisy Evaline, Alma Pearl, Walter Best, Ralph Waldo, Charles Valentine and Elizabeth Thompson. 5. Henry was born in 1863 and lived at Williamsport. 6. Edward was born in 1867 and lived at Hoopeston, Illinois. 7. Sarah was born in Warren County and married John Fleming. 8. Elizabeth (Belle) was born November 9, 1870 in Warren County and married John D. Bader. They were the parents of William George, Albert Russell, John, (Lewis), Mary, Nona, Elizabeth and Avis Bader. Belle died December 17, 1958, leaving behind 40 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. John died August 16, 1946.
