Ida Bell Baker, 90, of Marshall, died Monday, March 2, 2009, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2009, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Russ Johnson and William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gill Memorial Baptist Church or Saline County Sheriff's Toys for Tots Program.

Born March 1, 1919, in Corder, she was the daughter of the late John Petty and Annie Daugherty Petty. On Sept. 22, 1945, she married Lawrence C. Baker, who survives of the home. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a member of Gill Memorial Baptist Church. She had worked at Stampers, International Shoe Company and Kraft Foods. Prior to her retirement, she also worked in the kitchen at Bueker Middle School and Missouri Valley College.

Additional survivors include one daughter, Barbara "Bobbi" Cadwell of Marshall; four grandchildren, Cara Wisler, Tim Stone, Joe Baldwin and Arti Dautenhahn; four great-grandchildren, Kyler, Austin, Trevor and Braxton; two step-great-grandchildren, Darian and Kipp; two sisters, Mary Knotts of Warsaw and Janie Cunningham of Buhl, Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.
