Lula B. Shrader, 74, of Caldwell, died Sunday August 22, 1999, at home. Graveside services will be held a 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 1999, at the Canyon Hill Cemetery. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Lula was born March 17, 1925, in Waverly, Missouri. She was one of thirteen children born to John Petty and Anna Daughtery Petty. She moved to Idaho at a young age, and was married to Bennie C. Shrader on September 6, 1940, at Caldwell, Idaho.
She tied flies for Glenn L. Evans for a number of years and worked for the J.R. Simplot Company in the late 1940s. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Bennie of Caldwell; one son, Bennie L. Shrader of Caldwell; a grandson and a granddaughter; a brother James Petty of Kansas City, Missouri; sisters Jannie Cunningham of Buhl, ID; Mary Knotts of Warsaw, MO; Agnes Jameson of Nampa, ID; Ruth Massey, Waverly, MO; Ida Bell of Marshall, MO; a nephew and his wife of Caldwell and their three daughters.
She was preceded in death by one son, Gerald R. Shrader; her parents; and seven brothers and sisters. Friends may call today, Tuesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
