Bennie Clyde Shrader passed away on October 27, 2011, at Trinity Home Health and Rehab at Holly.

Bennie was born January 22, 1921 to Zelma and Ivan Monroe in Rising City, Nebraska. He moved to Caldwell, Idaho during the great depression.

In 1948 Bennie enlisted in the United States Army where he served as a Staff Sargent for nine years. Bennie served his country during World War II and again in the Korean War doing a little bit of everything, mainly on the 105mm and the 155mm howitzer shot teams.

After the army he went to work for J.R. Simplot Company for a short time before he bought and ran a successful tire company until retirement.

Bennie is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Lula Shrader, his dancing partner for life Anita Hill, and two sons, Gerald Shrader and Bennie Lee Shrader. He is also preceded by one brother Charles Shrader and five sisters, Vivian Wiggins, Marie and Nelly Schenck, Bernice Witt and Elsie Graham.

Bennie is survived by grandchildren, Jerry Shrader and Stephoni Hardman (Shrader). Great-grandchildren, Jaden Lundquist (Shrader), Keyara Hardman, Reana Hardman and Jeremiah Hardman, many nieces, nephews and many family and friends.

The family would like to thank everyone that has helped with names and we love you all.

Viewing will be held at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 3, 2011, 10:00 AM at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell.
