Rowena was the wife of Wayne D. BARDEN (1903-1946). They were married on 27 Nov 1923, in Stevens Point, Portage, Wisconsin, USA.

After Wayne was struck and killed by a car in 1946, Rowena was married to Raymond HOLTZ.

Mrs. Raymond Holtz, of the town of Buena Vista, died at 10 p.m. Monday at the age of 56.


Her death occurred at St. Michael's Hospital. In ill health for seven months, she was a patient at hospitals for four months during this time.


Mrs. Holtz was an obstetrical nurse at St. Michael's until her illness.


A lifelong resident of Buena Vista, she was born there June 13, 1905. She was the former Rowena Boursier, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Boursier.


On Nov. 23, 1923, she was married to Wayne Barden, who died Jan. 6, 1946.


She was married to Mr. Holtz Oct. 18, 1954.


In addition to her husband, who is a farmer in Buena Vista, Mrs. Holtz is survived by eight daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Betty) Clayton, Shawano, Mrs. Clark (Bonnie) Fletcher, Mrs. Lloyd (Norma) Fletcher, Mrs. Gaylord (Charlotte) Fletcher, Mrs. Edward (Anita) Berry and Mrs. Marvin (Judy) Fletcher, Buena Vista, Mrs. Walter (Veverly) Zelewski, 316 Francis St., and Mrs. Anthony (Ramona) Golla, Kaukauna, and three sons, Arlyn Barden, Wausau, Kenneth Barden, Plover, and Dewayne Barden, at home.


There are also two stepchildren, Mrs. William (Pat) Oxley, San Diego, CA, and Charles Holtz, Kenosha; 25 grandchildren, and two brothers, James Boursier, Buena Vista, and Byron Boursier, town of Stockton.


Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Crosby Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donald Levenhagen of St. John's Lutheran Church, Almond, officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Corners Cemetery, Buena Vista.
