MRS. HARRISON'S LONG LIFE CLOSES SUNDAY

Following an illness of three weeks during which he strength gradually ebbed away. Mrs. Eleanor Harrison died last Sunday afternoon at her residence on Santa Fe street, at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 2 days. It was just 3:40 o'clock when the spark of life which lingered for many days disappeared.
Death was a result of infirmities of old age.
Eleanor S. Lawrence was born at Mamaroneck, West Chester County, N.Y. March 28, 1841.
At the age of 14 she came with her parents to Illinois, and during the remainder of her life made her home in the Princeville neighborhood. Her father and mother lived on the Reicheneker farm about three miles south of Princeville where she was married March 2nd 1859 to Robert W. Harrison, who preceded her in death on August 6, 1890.
The family home for many years was two miles south and one mile west of Princeville, now the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pierce.
Nineteen years ago, Mrs. Harrison moved to Princeville and built the large comfortable home which he occupied through the remaining years until her death. She was very well known and will be kindly remembered by scores of acquaintances.
Nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Harrison, two of whom died in infancy. The remaining children Agatha Pierce of Alta, Hanford Harrison, Emma Smith, Minnie Harrison and Frank Harrison of Princeville, Ada Kneer of Laura and Bertha Kneer of Williamsfield. All of her children were able to be with her almost constantly during her last illness.
Mrs. Harrison united with the loyal Methodist Episcopal church in 1891 and also belonged to the Old Settlers Union of Princeville.
She was considered a kind and sympathetic neighbor and was especially helpful in times of sickness. She was a very devoted mother, whose greatest pleasure was in her own home and her immediate family.

Besides her children she leaves to mourn her passing, one brother, Frank Lawrence who has made his home with her for a number of years, also twenty nine grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren.
Her task on earth is ended.
Her life in heaven begun.
Her duties were well attended.
She's heard her welcome home.
The funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the M. E. church in charge of the pastor, Rev. O.W. Carr. A large number of relatives and friends paid a final tribute of respect by their presence.
Music was furnished by a quartet.
The pallbearers were six nephews: Glenn Beall of Toulon, Nick Harrison of Pekin, George Moffitt of Monica, Henry Moffitt of Laura, Luther and Asa Lawrence of Princeville.
There were a number of floral offerings.
Following the service at the church the remains were interred in Princeville cemetery.

Princeville Telephone, July 1922.

Daughter of Francis & Mary Susan (Rogers) Lawrence, wife of Robert Harrison, m. Mar 2, 1859 on Reicheneker Farm south of Princeville.
