Elkhart Lake—(Special)—The funeral of the late John Philip Henschel, who died Tuesday, was held at the Henschel homestead in the town of Russell Thursday at St. Paul Evangelical Reformed church in the town of Russell. Interment was made in the Church cemetery, and the Rev. John Siegle officiated.
The pallbearers were George and William Shuler, Alvin Siegmund, Adam Becker, Oscar Kraemer and Peter Faust. The surviving relatives are four sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Kessell, Mrs. Mary Kramer and Mrs. Amelia Brieske, all of Elkhart Lake, and Mrs. Elizabeth Mayer of Chilton; two brothers, Adolph, Elkhart Lake, and Gustave of the town of Russell. There are 12 nephews and nieces. The funeral was largely attended and relatives from Sheboygan , Glenbeulah, Kiel and the immediate vicinity.
