Rainstown - Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Lizzie Belcher, near Fayette. Mr. Belcher formerly lived north of here on the Job Hadley farm.
Henry Bowman and sister, Carrie, of Ladoga, called on Mrs. Sarah Lowe Saturday on their way to visit Mrs. Belcher who was a relative.

Mrs. John Belcher died at her home in Perry Township Monday morning at two o'clock, of tuberculosis with which she had been ill for the past six weeks. The deceased was born in this state and was 45 years of age. She leaves eight children: Charles, Oscar, Isaac and Edward Belcher, Rose Keeney, Grace, Mary and Ethel Belcher. She also leaves two brothers Isaac and Joseph English and two sisters, Anna Ragsdale, Julia Bowman. Mrs. Belcher was a member of the First Christian Church. Funeral services were held at Poplar Grove Church, Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment in the church cemetery.
