MRS. MARTHA J. PULLEY

Mrs. Martha J. Pulley, wife of Jonathan Pulley, of Benton township, died at her home on Monday, November 10th. The actual cause of her death was probably the combined effect of a generally broken down physical condition and grief for the death of her son, Andy, who died recently, very suddenly.

Mrs. Pulley's maiden name was Marsh. She was born in Guernsey County, Ohio, in 1832. She removed with her parents to Grant County, Indiana in 1839.

On March 3, 1853, she was married to Jonathan Pulley, who survives her. In 1860, they removed to Lucas County, Iowa, where they have lived ever since. Deceased was a member of the M. E. Church, having joined at the age of 18.

She leaves a sorrowing husband and son and three daughters to mourn her loss.

The funeral took place on Tuesday. The services were conducted by Rev. M. Tidball, of the U.P. Church.

Gravesite Details

The death year is incorrect on the marker. Both the obit, published in 1890 and the cemetery sexton records have her death year as 1890
