Mary F. Grano, 90, of rural Arma, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, December 24, 2006, at Sunset Manor Nursing Home at Frontenac.

Mrs. Grano was born Aug. 13, 1916, at Skidmore, Kansas, the daughter of Frank and Josephine Veltri Fearmonti.

Mrs. Grano was a homemaker who was raised in Ringo and attended Ringo Schools.

She lived in rural Arma most of her life.

She married Frank Grano on May 8, 1937, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Arma. Mr. Grano preceded her in death on June 19, 1995.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Arma.

Survivors include one son, Frank Grano of Arma, one daughter, Mary Jo Anderson of Arma, a granddaughter, Dawn Anderson of Naperville, Illinois, one brother, Frank Fearmonti of Pittsburg, one sister, Dorothy Fiormonti of Bellwood, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Pronier and four brothers, Albert Fearmonti, Jim Fearmonti, Tony Fearmonti, and Amo Fearmonti.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2006, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Arma with Father Donald Thissen as celebrant.

Burial will be at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma.

Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Bedene Chapel where friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday.

The family suggests memorials to the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
