Died at New Orleans hospital at 7pm Tuesday. A native of Galvez and resident of Prairieville. He was 75. The body was at the Welsh Funeral Home, Gonzales, until 9:45am Thursday. Religious services were at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 10:30am Thursday. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include his widow, the former Ida C. Cambre; nine sons, W. T. Roddy, Baton Rouge; Jessie James Roddy, Richard Roddy Jr., Henry R. Roddy, John T. Roddy, Bobbie Ray Roddy, Ray Dempsey Roddy, Mitchell Roddy and Sidney Roddy all of Prairieville; two step-sons, H.A. Kuhlmann and O.W. Kuhlmann, both of Baton Rouge; five daughters, Mrs. E. I. Coates, Batone Rouge, Mrs. Bertie Kelley, Prairieville, Mrs. Albert Gore, Channeluier, Tex., Mrs. Ted J. Cedatol, LaPlace, and Miss. Mary Martha Roddy, Prairieville; one step-daughter, Mrs. Perry Morgan, Port Allen; one sister, Mrs. Ida Nickens, Prairieville; two brothers, Ruby Roddy, Prairieville; and James Roddy, Walker; 25 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
