Morning Advocate – November 26, 1965
Roddy, Ruby
Died at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, November 25, at his residence, Rt. 1, Prairieville. He was 76 years old and a native of Galvez. Body at Welsh Funeral Home in Gonzales, after 10, a.m. Friday. Religious services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Galvez Baptist Church, Conducted by Rev. C.B. Wiley, assisted by Revs. J. F. Hartner and William Berry. Interment in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Under direction of Hollabaugh – Spindel Mortuary, Baton Rouge. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosalie Roddy of Prairieville; a son Frank Roddy of Prairieville; two step grandsons, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Galvez Pentecostal Church.
