Burley E. Abbet was born in Miller County, MIssouri Dec. 23, 1884, and passed away in East St. Louis, Ill., April 23, 1935, being at the time of his death 49 years and 4 months of age. He was married to Eliza Broome September 5, 1909. To this union three children were born, one infant who preceded in death.

He leaves to mourn his departure a wife, two sons, a daughter-in-law, Earl, Frank and Ruth; parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Abbet of Iberia; four brothers and three sisters, namely: lafe of Springfield, Mo., Oliver of Iberia, Oscar of Oklahoma, Otto of Crocker, Mo., Mrs. Opal Carrol of Crocker, MO., Mrs. Grace Ransom of Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs. Alma Dickerson of West Palm Beach, Florida, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Shearrer Friday afternoon at the Christian Church. Interment was made in the Iberia Cemetery under the directions of Adams and Casey, local funeral directors.
