Troy L Lofton Troy Luther Lofton, 70, of Bogue Chitto, died Jan. 2, 1992, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in Ramah Baptist Church. Burial was in the Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Lofton was born Feb. 2, 1921, in Lincoln County. He was the son of the late Luke Lofton and Beulah Lofton.
He was retired from the timber business. He was a member of Ramah Baptist Church and a World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louise Lofton of Bogue Chitto; four sons, Jerome Lofton, Douglas Lofton, Ken Lofton and Butch Lofton, all of Bogue Chitto; five daughters, Ellen Wallace of Jackson, Janice Addison of Kentwood, La., Patsy Wallace of Brookhaven, Marcia Allred and Connie Porter, both of Bogue Chitto; four brothers, Arthur Lofton of McBride, Edward Lofton, Lloyd Lofton and the Rev. Sherrill Lofton, all of Bogue Chitto; four sisters, Reba Nell Peavy of Morton, Mabel Stancil of Bogue Chitto, Joyce Smith and Dot Smith, both of Brookhaven; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral home arrangements were handled by Brookhaven Funeral Home.
