Mrs. Smith, 77, died Nov. 26, 2008, at Haven Hall Healthcare Center in Brookhaven. She was born on April 3, 1931, to Luther "Luke" Lofton and Beulah Lofton Lofton.
She was a retired licensed practical nurse. She was a member of Southway Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, Edward Lofton, Troy Lofton, Loyd Lofton, Sherrell Lofton and Arthur Lofton; and her sisters, Mable Lofton Stancil and Reba Nell Lofton Pevey.
Survivors are her sons, Andrew Smith, of Bogue Chitto, Reggie Smith and wife, Jan, of Brookhaven; a sister, Dot Smith, of Bogue Chitto; her four grandchildren; Coly Smith and wife, Patricia, Julie Smith, Justin Smith and Clint Smith; her two great-grandchildren, MaKayla Smith and Caleb Smith.
