Charles was my husband's Great-Grandfather.

Charles was the sixth child and the fourth son of John Fletcher and Charlotte Humphrey.

He was married to Harriet WANTY on 16 Oct 1881, in the town of Buena Vista, Portage Co., WI.

Their children together were:

Pearle A.
Roy A.
Harry Jacob
Raymond Arthur

BUENA VISTA MAN TAKEN BY DEATH

Charles Fletcher, a lifelong resident of the town of Buena Vista, his father, the late John Fletcher, having been one of the first settlers in that township, passed from life at his home at 9:30 o'clock this morning, aged 74 years. He was a patient at St. Michael's hospital for three weeks last May and had been ailing most of the summer but was able to be around at times.

Funeral services will be held at the Buena Vista Methodist church at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon, Rev. James Blake of Stevens Point officiating, and interment will follow in the Buena Vista cemetery. Mr. Fletcher was the last surviving member of the original family.

He leaves his widow, who was Miss Harriet Wanty, whom he married 46 years ago, and the following sons and daughter: Roy Fletcher, Amherst; Harry Fletcher, Buena Vista; Raymond Fletcher, Stevens Point; Mrs. Forest Barden, Amherst.
