Harriet was my husband's Great-Grandmother.

She was the fourth child born to Jacob Gibson Wanty and Sarah Maria BENNETT.

She was married to Charles Robert FLETCHER on 16 Oct 1881, in Buena Vista, Portage Co., WI.

Their children together were:

Harry Jacob

Mrs. Charles Fletcher, a resident of Buena Vista for 53 years, died Thursday night at 8:25 o'clock at the family home. She had been ill for three weeks.

Mrs. Fletcher, whose maiden name was Harriet Wanty, was born in Winnebago county on November 16, 1857. She spent her girlhood in and near Oshkosh. Her marriage to Mr. Fletcher took place on October 16, 1881. After their marriage the couple came to Buena Vista to the farm home where Mrs. Fletcher had since lived. Mr. Fletcher died on December 16, 1930.

Mrs. Fletcher was a member of the Liberty Corners M.E. church and a charter member of the Women's Benefit association.

Surviving are four children, Mrs. Forest Barden and Roy Fletcher of Amherst, Harry Fletcher at home and Raymond Fletcher of Stevens Point. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. I.C. Newby of Madison and Mrs. George Fletcher, Sr., of Buena Vista; two brothers, J. Wanty of Wausau and Nelson Wanty of Milwaukee; 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the family home, followed by services at the Liberty Corners M.E. church at 2 o'clock. Rev. Minnie Cliff will officiate.

Funeral of Mrs. Fletcher

Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Fletcher, who died last Thursday, were held at the family home in Buena Vista Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and at the Liberty Corners M.E. church at 2 o'clock. Rev. Minnie Cliff officiated.

Mrs. Clair Eckles, accompanied by Mrs. Henry Stienke, sang, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," "Meet Your Mother in the Skies," "The Lord Knows Why" and "God Will Take Care of You."

Mrs. Perry Wentworth was in charge of the floral tributes assisted by Audrey Fletcher, Gladys Barden, Viola Barden, Eileen Fletcher, Zella Fletcher and Pearl Fletcher.

Six grandsons of Mrs. Fletcher were casketbearers, Roy Barden, Charles Barden, Lyle Fletcher, Lee Fletcher, Guy Fletcher and Garth Fletcher.

Those from a distance who attended the funeral were I.C. Newby and Mr. hack of Madison; Dr. and Mrs. Grant Newby of Platteville; Mrs. N.R. Wanty and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wanty of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hinjum and Mr. and Mrs. jack Wood of Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schieder and son of Clintonville; Mrs. May Hopkins, Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson and Mrs. Mary Craig of Waupaca; Mrs. Tom Lee, Miss Grace Plish, C. Berg and Lyle Fletcher of Wausau. Many relatives and friends from Amherst, Almond, Stevens Point and the surrounding country were also present.
