Last rites for Ellis E. "Doc" Frees, 73, of Morse, who died Thursday at 9:24 a.m. at the American Legion Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Gueydan Methodist Church with burial to be in the Hanks Cemetery Mausoleum in Morse. Rev. Joe Roundtree will officiate.
he was a member of the American Legion Post 15, and the Usher's Society.
Survivors are his widow, Beulah Labit Frees of Morse; one son, John Earl Frees of Milan, Italy; on daughter, Earleen Jackson of Houston, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. John Morgan of Crowley.
Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Gueydan is in charge of arrangements."
