CROWLEY, La. Mrs. S. W. Frees, 83, the former Edith Merritt, died at her home at 58 E. Northern Ave., Crowley, at 4:30 a.m. Sunday.
Last rites willl be held at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of the Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home herre and burial will follow in the old Protestant Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jose Smith, C.N. Faulk, Bruce Server, Martin Welch, W.E. Dunlap, and F.A. Duhon.
Mrs. Frees had been a resident of Crowley for 23 years. She was born in Tecumseh, Mich. Mrs. Frees was a member of the Metodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Everall Frees of Franklin and Ellis Earle Frees of Morse; two daughters, Mrs. John C. Morgan of Crowley and Mrs. Earl Voyles of Baytown, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Mable Stansel of Gueydan; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren."
