Is Claimed By Death

Luther Amburn, 49, passed away at his home at Ducktown on Sunday morning. Death followed an extended illness.

A former T. C. Company mine foreman, he has lived in Ducktown for the past 25 years. He was a member of the Mine City Baptist Church, Ducktown Lodge No. 241, F. & A. M., the American Legion and was a pst worthy patron of the Myrtle Chapter, O. E. S.

Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Ethel Reoirdan; step-mother, Mrs. C. A. Amburn; one foster son, Junior; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Emma Anderson, Mrs. Floyd Cheatham and Mrs. Dora Hancolk(sic); three brothers, Frederick, Forrest and Lucius Amburn.

Services were held at the Mine City Baptist Church on Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. E. J. Bramlett and the Ducktown Masons officiating. Burial was in the Zion Hill Cemetery with members of the American Legion conducting the graveside ritual. Arrangements were under direction of Brewer, Pack & Williamson.
