Clarice M. Anderson, age 95, a resident of Pelican Rapids, died on Sunday, August 7, 2005, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.

Clarice Margaret Clauson was born February 14, 1910, on the Clauson farm near Pelican Rapids, the daughter of Morgan and Olive (Swenson) Clauson. She grew up in rural Pelican Rapids and attended District #183 country school.

On October 24, 1940 Clarice was united in marriage to Raymond Anderson at Grove Lake Lutheran Church, rural Pelican Rapids. From 1940 to 1950 Raymond and Clarice lived in Hoquiam, Washington, and from 1950 to 1953 in Bandon, Oregon.

After Raymond's death in 1953 Clarice and her children moved back to Pelican Rapids. Clarice worked for the Pelican Rapids Elementary School as a cook from September 1963 to May 1975.
Clarice enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and emailing friends and family. Clarice was a member of Grove Lake Lutheran Church where she was active in ladies aid-and the sewing circles.

Clarice is survived by her three children Mary Ellen Hunter of Seattle, WA, Robert Anderson of Isanti, MN, and Karla (Mike) Lemmer of Lee, FL; five grandchildren Lori (Paul Tweedlie) Hunter of Boulder, CO, Lynn Hunter of Edmonds, WA, Mike (Melanie) Lemmer, Jr.of New Ulm, MN, Megan Lemmer of Keystone Heights, FL, and Molly (Eric) Zenk of Nashville, TN; five great-grandchildren: Kelsy Hunter, Anson, Alex and Avery Lemmer, and Benjamin Tweedlie; brother Ray (Jean) Clauson of Pelican Rapids; five sisters lola Erickson, Freda Kaltvedt and Dolly Amundson of Pelican Rapids, Marlys (Richard) Jennen of Elbow Lake, MN, and Arlene (Miff) Stephenson of Bismarck, ND; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Morgan and Olive Clauson; and seven siblings Ellen Hushagen, Morris Clauson, Oren Clauson, Verna Clauson, Walter Clauson, Louise Baxter, Charles Clauson.

Memorial Services were Saturday, August 13, 2005, at Grove Lake Lutheran Church, rural Pelican Rapids, Minnesota with Rev. Ken Vollmers officiating. Organist was Helen Johnson, soloists Cindy Baggenstos and Susan Johnson, duet by Edward and Keith Anderson, urn bearer Robert Anderson.
