"Charles Morgan Clauson, age 64 a resident of Pelican Rapids, died at his home and went to be with the Lord on Christmas morning. His entire family was in attendance.
Charlie was born November 23, 1932, the son of Morgan and Olava (Swenson) Clauson. He grew up and graduated from the Pelican Rapids High School. He served with the U.S. Army for a term and then farmed on the homeplace his entire life. In 1961 he married Linda Lachowitzer.
Charlie was a wonderful husband and loving father. He was also a great auctioneer and a loved man with a sense of humor that wouldn't quit. He was a member of Grove Lake Lutheran church, Skipper's Chorus and the Auctioneers Association.
Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Morris, Oren and Walter and two sisters, Ellen Hushagen and Verna Clauson.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Peter (Carol) Clauson, of Pelican Rapids, Jennifer (Dennis) Duncan of Boston, Mass., and Joseph (Iliana) Clauson, of Pelican Rapids." "Siblings, Clarice Anderson, Raymond Clauson, Iola Erickson, Freda Kaltvedt, Louise Baxter, Dolly Amundson, Marlys Jennen and Arlene Stephenson. Service Saturday, December 28, at the Grove Lake Lutheran Church, rural Pelican Rapids."
