Alice was the youngest child of Ernest August Blankenstein and Myra Evelyn "Nannie" Weeks.
Alice Emma Blankenstein was bapitzed May 31, 1908, by Pastor C. Wolff at St. Paul's Evangelical & Reformed Church in Gerald, McLennan County, Texas. Her baptismal sponsors were Paul and Mamie Blankenstein Lehmann.
Alice Blankenstein was confirmed April 13, 1924, at First Lutheran Church in Temple, Texas.
Alice married Abe William Willis on May 31, 1925, in Temple, Tx.

OBITUARY FROM THE TEMPLE DAILY TELEGRAM: Mrs. Willis
Mrs. Alice E. Willis, 59, 317 N. 8th St., died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in a Temple hospital after a short illness. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday in San Saba. Burial will be in San Saba City Cemetery. Mrs. Willis was born Oct. 22, 1907, in Temple. She lived in San Saba for 10 years before returning to Temple five years ago to make her home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of San Saba. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lew Wisdom of Lawton, Okla.; and Mrs. Alan Stafford of Doole; a son, Abe W. Willis of San Antonio; three sisters, Mrs. R. M. Schott of La Grange, Mrs. Ida Albright and Mrs. George Posey, Sr., both of Temple; two brothers, Henry Blankenstein and C. A. Blankenstein, both of Temple; and nine grandchildren. Hewett Funeral Home is in charge.

MRS. ABE WILLIS DIES IN TEMPLE

Mrs. Abe W. Willis, 59, of 317 N. 8th St., Temple, former San Saba resident, died Saturday, March 25, in Scott & White Hospital, following an apparent heart attack.
Mrs. Willis, the former Alice Emma Blankenstein, was born Oct. 22, 1907, at Temple, the daughter of Ernest Blankenstein and Myra Weeks Blankenstein. She was married to Abe Willis May 31, 1925, at Temple. She and her husband came to San Saba in 1953. Her husband, former manager of the local Palace and Corral Theatres, died here on May 21, 1957. Following his death, Mrs. Willis continued the management of the theatres for sometime. She moved to Temple in 1962. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Tech/Sgt. Abe W. Willis Jr. of San Antonio; two daughters, Mrs. Alan Stafford of Doole and Mrs. Lew Wisdom of Lawton, Okla.; two brothers, Chris Blankenstein and Henry Blankenstein, both of Temple; three sisters, Mrs. B. W. Albright and Mrs. George W. Posey Sr., both of Temple and Mrs. R. M. Scott of La Grange; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 27, in Howell-Doran Chapel, conducted by the Rev. James Reid.
Burial was in City Cemetery under the direction of Howell-Doran Funeral Home.
Pallbearers included Eugene Faubion, W. E. Bryant, F. L. Sterner, Pat Murray, T. J. Stewart and Henry Ratliff.
