Purl LeRoy Henley, 88, North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia, formerly of Chelsea, died February 2, 1998, in the home. Born in Chelsea, he was a son of the late Elijah and Bertha (Baker) Henley. Surviving are his wife, the former Myrtle Slauenwhite; daughter, Flo (Mrs. Cyril McInnis), Chelsea; brothers, Nahum, Caledonia; George, Borden, Irving, Chelsea; a granddaughter. He was predeceased by a son, Albert; brothers, Walter, Hazen, Kenneth, Harry, Edmund, Avon; sister, Ida. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral 11 a.m. Thursday in Chelsea Baptist Church, Rev. John Kaulback officiating. Burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Chelsea. Family flowers only. Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Maple Grove Cemetery or any charity.
