Clydelle Shelton Westbrook, 91 passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, August 17, 2013.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Evergreen Cemetery. Reverend Rob Spencer will officiate.
Clydelle is survived by her son Terry Boyd Westbrook, his wife Patricia and her grandson David, also her sisters-in-law Callie Shelton, Patsy Shelton, Edith Westbrook plus numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Boyd Westbrook, her brothers Joe Shelton, Tom Shelton and sister Dora Shrum.
She was a member of Paris' First United Methodist church for over 60 years before moving to Houston in 2006 where she attended Terrace United Methodist Church. She worked as a telephone operator for Southwest Bell before retiring after over 25 years.
Clydelle was a happy, kind person who spread goodwill wherever she went. Some of her favorite things in life were her immediate and extended family, being around young children and she rarely met a desert she did not like. On her final night she had a nice meal at home topped off with a piece of cake, said goodnight to her loving family and went to begin her new life with her Lord and Savior. Rest in peace.
