She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Emma Lou and husband Burnell C. [Poem inset] God Looked around His Garden And He found an empty place. He then looked upon his Earth And saw your Tired face. He put His arms Around you And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew you were suffering; He knew you were in pain. He knew you would never get well on Earth again. So he closed your weary eyelids And Whispered 'Peace be thine' With hands gentle And so kind It broke our hearts to lose you. But you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, The day God called you home.
--
NOTE: She was a wonderful mother and friend. Very good cook, seamstress, bridge player. Loved her yard, which is filled with many, many beautiful plants and flowers. She has been a homemaker all her married life, because that
is what Daddy wanted. She always made a wonderful home for us. She was a member of First Methodist Church, Paris, Lamar, TX.

Siblings:
Joe Farris Shelton
Thomas Oklan "Tom" Shelton
Clydelle Shelton Westbrook
