Rebecca Rawlings Holladay was born in Virginia Jan 23 1803, the daughter of William Holladay and Rebecca Rawlings. She married Fendall Carr Cason December 19, 1822 in Spotsylvania Co., VA. They went over the Oregon Trail in 1843, and settled in Clackamas Co., OR. She left her land to her sons Adoniram, John and James, and other property to her daughter Frances C. Campbell and to the children of Rebecca R. Stewart, wife of Peter Grant Stewart. The will was dated Nov. 2, 1866. The request for probate states Rebecca died in Clackamas Co. on August 29, 1870.
