MINERAL WELLS — Lou Emma Merritt Warren, 86, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, died June 28, 2010, at her home in Mineral Wells.

Service is 10 a.m. Thursday, July 1, in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with William Eudy officiating. Burial will follow in Sturdivant Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born July 27, 1923, in Rising Star, Texas. She was the seventh of 13 children. Emma "Granny" was a devoted mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She was a member of North Oak Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughters, Jean Getsko, and Janice Buckman and husband, Tom, sons, Jay Warren and wife, Ginny, and Steve Warren and wife, Chris; sisters, Nora Turner and Reba Reedy; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, John Jay Warren; son, John Anderson Warren, 4 months old; and son-in-law, Joe Getsko.
