MRS. AMANDA C. NEWTON
Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda Cason Newton, 76, widow of Congressman Cherbusco Newton of the Cleveland Administration, who died Wednesday morning at 9:30 am at the residence of her sons, Thomas C. Newton and Sterling M. Newton, 210 Roselawn, Monroe, following an illness of several months, were held Thursday afternoon at the residence, with Rev. W. C. Scott, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating, Interment followed in the Bastrop Cemetery.
Mrs. Newton is survived by three sons:
Thomas Cason Newton of Monroe
Sterling M. Newton of Monre
Col. Cherbusco Newton, Jr., U. S. Army, Panama Canal Zone
One granddaughter:
Miss Margaret Newton of Boston
(daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Fred Cason Newton)
One sister:
Mrs. Jesse Cason Sadler of Monroe
Six nieces:
Mrs. Bradley Waelder of Monroe
Miss Louise Gray Cason of Monroe
Miss Byronie Amanda Cason of Monroe
