Mr. Earl A. Ball. 64, of Hot Springs, N.M., and formerly of McPherson , died at 7:30 p.m. yesterday at the Halstead Hospital after three weeks of failing health.
Mr. Ball was born on August 6,1893, in Groveland community southwest of McPherson, son of Albert T. and Lean Ball. He was married to Elsie Smith on October 3, 1920, and Mrs. Ball died on July 21, 1948. He was married on September 14, 1957, to Effie Martin, at Los Cruces, N.M. She is one of the survivors. He was a member of the Christian Church.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Lena Ball, McPherson; three sisters, Mabel Hassman and Eva Ball, both of McPherson, and Elsie Bane, Lyons; and three brothers, Elmer Ball, Briggsdale, Colo.; Walter Ball, McPherson and Emory Ball, Plains.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 18, at 2 p.m. at the Quiring Chapel with Rev. Chester E. Gleason of the Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the McPherson Cemetery
