Mrs. Lena Ball , 100, of the Groveland community, died Sunday afternoon at McPherson hospital after being in failing health for the past year.
Mrs. Ball was born August 21, 1864, at Miloslaw, Germany, and had lived in Groveland Township since 1885. She was the daughter of Karl and Mary Elizabeth Linke Muenchoff and was married to Albert T. Ball March 27, 1887, in a Groveland Township farm home. Mr. Ball died August 16, 1936. Mrs. Ball was a member of the Groveland Christian Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mable Hassman, McPherson, Mrs. Elsie Bane, Little River, and Miss. Eva Ball of the home; three sons, Walter Ball, Little River, Emery Ball, Plains, and Harvey Ball, Hutchinson, 33 grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
