Augusta - Margaret J. Pettis, 95. died Friday at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire. Margaret Whitcomb was born in Kenosha and married Floyd Pettis July 26, 1917, in Fairchild. The couple farmed in the town of Fairchild until 1959, when they moved to Augusta.
Survivors include two sons, Paul of Neillsville, Russell of New Brighton, Minn.; four daughters, Lorraine Hardesty and Phyllis Pettis, both of Augusta, Dorothy Heinemann of Larkspur, Calif., Sylvia Bertrang of Winthrop Harbor. Ill.; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St Anthony's Catholic Church with burial in West Lawn Cemetery, both in Augusta.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday and until time of services Monday at Anderson Funeral Home, Augusta, where a rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday.
