James “Bud” Lawson, 87, of Talbott, passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2018 at Jefferson City Health and Rehab Center. Bud was a member of Cedar Hill Church of God and was an Army Veteran, having served in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Volura Lawson; 2 sisters; 4 brothers; and his son, Lloyd Lawson.

Bud leaves his loving wife of 27 years, Dot Lawson; sons, Lynn Lawson and Benjamin Lawson; step-son, Doug (Judy) Skeen; sisters, Dorothy Seals and Sally Herron; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mayes Mortuary. Funeral services will follow the with Rev. Tom Wells officiating. Graveside services will be in the Joe Lawson Family Cemetery, Eidson, at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10.
