Floyd H Smith, Hop Bottom, R.D., died Thursday, May 5, 1977, in Montrose Hospital after an llness.
His widow is the former Cora Henry. Born in Alfred, son of the late Charles C and Elizabeth (Hissim) Smith; he was a self-employed quarryman and farmer. Also surviving are seven sons, Floyd Jr., Walter, Charles, Donald, Earl, all of Hop Bottom; Kenneth, Norristown; Glen, Staten Island, NY; five daughters, Mrs. Emma Tiffany and Mrs. June Keller, both of Hop Bottom, Mrs. Joanne Colley, Holiton, NY.; Mrs. Betty Benson, Dade City, FL., Mrs. Edna Raub, Hallstead; a brother Earl, Greene, N.Y.; 36 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held Saturday at 2 P.M. from Charles Litwin Funeral Home, Nicholson, with services by Rev. Ralph Christiansen, Hop Bottom United Methodist Church. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery.
