Requiem Mass was celebrated here Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock in the Annunciation Church by the Rev. Edward V. Carpenter for Robert Thomas Christy. 72, of Modesto, Calif, who died there Saturday. He was a former Coon Rapids resident and had lived In California for about 34 years.

Casketbearers were nephews: Leonard Christy, Edward Christy, Dan Christy, Frank Christy, David Christy and Dennis Christy. Burial was In the Annunciation Cemetery here.

Mr. Christy was born March 7, 1898, In Greene County, Iowa, son of John and Margaret Doran Christy. He is survived by two sisters, Josephine Christy of Coon Rapids and Mrs. Clay Matthews of Hayward, Calif.; four brothers. Paul and Don Christy of Des Moines, Maurice Christy of Portland. Ore., Walter Christy of Modesto.

Services for Robert T. Christy, 72, Modesto, who died Saturday in a local hospital after a long illness, will be held in Coon Rapids, Iowa. The Franklin & Downs Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Born in Iowa, he had lived in Modesto five years and was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, he was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors are four brothers, Walter Christy, of Modesto, Paul Christy and Don Christy, both of Iowa, and Maurice Christy of Oregon, and two sisters, Josephine Christy of Iowa and Nell Matthews of Hayward.

A Rosary will be recited at 7 o'clock tonight in the Franklin & Downs Funeral Home.
