Elizabeth was born 17 Mar 1832 in North twp, Harrison Co, and moved to Union Co. about 1838 with her parents. She married James E Wilson on 20 Aug 1851 in Union Co. and their first child, Josephine, was born there.

They arrived in Bremer Co. about 1853 or 1854 based on the biographic article. On the 1860 census, Elizabeth and family were in Bremer Co., IA, next door to her brother, Nathaniel.
Elizabeth's next four children were born in IA between 1855 and 1868. We have only the census data to determine the years, so all dates are plus or minus a year or two.

James Wilson bought land in Nodaway Co., MO in 1865 and the family moved from IA to MO in the spring of 1866. Their farm was near the village of Wilcox, just west of the cemetery.
James and Elizabeth, after raising six children, retired in Burlington Junction, a thriving town a few miles NW of Wilcox. They are buried in the Ohio cemetery in Burlington Junction, MO.
