MACON - Reba Amerson Lanier, 86, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2010, at a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2P.M. Tuesday at Macon Memorial Park with Rev. Paul Dziadul, Rev. Perry Porter, and Rev. Max Patterson officiating.

Mrs. Lanier, wife of the late Sidney Walter Lanier, was born in Wadley, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Stephen H. and Rosa Walker Amerson. She was a graduate of Miller High School and Crandall Business College. Living in Macon most of her life, Mrs. Lanier was a retired secretary of Stratford Academy after twenty-seven years of service. She was a member of Tattnall Square Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was very involved at Stratford Academy and Tattnall Square Baptist Church. Meme was devoted to caring for and loving her family. Mrs. Lanier was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Sid Lanier, Jr. (Dianne) of Macon; Dale W. Lanier (Carolyn) of Lizella; her daughter, Beverly Lanier Wallace (Dale) of Lawrenceville; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one brother, George Amerson of Clarksville, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
