OBITUARY as it appeared in the Memphis Commercial Appeal Wednesday, February 25, 1987: George Odell Duncan, 71, of Somerville, Tenn., retired farmer and merchant, died yesterday at Memphis Veterans Medical Center after an extended illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home in Somerville with burial in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery near there. Mr. Duncan was a World War II Army veteran, a member of Disabled American Veterans and a Baptist. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lorene Duncan. His local survivors are two brothers, T. J. Duncan of Millington and Walter Duncan of Memphis.
