OBITUARY as it appeared in The Millington Star, March 4, 1987: George Odell Duncan. George Odell Duncan, 71, of Somerville, TN, retired farmer and merchant, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Memphis Veterans Medical Center after an extended illness. Services were held Thursday, Feb. 26, at Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home in Somerville with burial in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery near there. Mr. Duncan was a World War II Army veteran, a member of Disabled American Veterans and a Baptist. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lorene Duncan. Local survivors include two brothers, T. J. Duncan of Millington and Walter Duncan of Memphis.

Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home in Somerville with burial in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery near there.
