Bill was a Sheriff, then a Welfare Investigator for San Joaquin County, California, and then an Attorney. He had a great sense of humor, and was a loving father.


Bill loved to fish and hunt and was a terrific cook.


Bill and Susan had two children together and Susan had two additional children.


Three children are living.


Bill Delzell Jr. passed away in Ukraine in about 2022

William B. Delzell died Friday, July 11, 2003 in Stockton. He was born September

12, 1933 in French Camp. He attended Cal Poly and majored in Animal Science.

Bill served 4 years in the Navy on the U.S.S. John R. Craig and then attended

Humphreys College. He was a Deputy Sheriff in Orange County, returned to Stockton

and worked as an Investigator for the Welfare Department. Bill then was an attorney

for 35 years as well as a chef, caterer and farmer. He was an avid "fisherman"

and hunter. He belonged to the Stockton Chamber of Commerce, the Elks Club for

36 years, a member of the NRA and the Stockton Rod and gun Club and was also

a "clamper". In 2002 Bill attended his 50th class reunion at the Calaveras School,

now located at Micke Grove. Survived by: wife Jeana (Leona Delzell of 9 years

of Stockton; brother Jack Delzell and sister Dorothy Moore, both of Stockton;

dear friend Dave "Fluf" Anderson of Stockton; sons George Wigfall and wife Chris

of Stockton and Bill Delzell Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska; daughter Susan Boren

and husband James of Portland, Texas; stepson Matthew Horton and wife Lisa of

Linden; stepdaughter Joslin Leitold and husband Brandon of St. Cloud, Minnesota

and 12 grandchildren. Services are private. Mortuary: Eaton Family Funeral and

Cremation Service, Modesto.
