Susan “Susie” Paulson, 65, passed away in her home in Stockton on Saturday, February 21, 2004. Susan was born in the U.S. Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA. on August 21, 1938. Her father was a Navy Commander, so Susie spent her childhood traveling the world; living in the Philippines, Honolulu, San Diego, San Jose, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Memphis, Boston, and several cities in Florida, attending an estimated 21 different schools throughout her youth. Susie came to Stockton in 1960; moved to Arcadia in 1981; lived in South Pasadena and then Palm Springs, before returning to Stockton in 1992. Susie was a bookkeeper for many years, including stints at a large Palm Springs law firm, as well as several Stockton businesses, including many years at Albert’s Restaurant. Most recently she enjoyed long commutes to Anchorage, AK to do accounting work for months at a time.
Susie was preceded in death by — former husbands and is survived by daughter Susan Boren of Garland, TX; son, William Delzell, Jr. of Anchorage, AK, and sons, George Wigfall and John Milford of Stockton; brother George Wigfall of Virginia beach, VA; brother Trezevant Wigfall, and sisters Melissa Smith and Dixie Wigfall, all of Aurora, CO; as well as nieces Carolina Butler and Nelly Wigfall of Gaithersburg, MD, Xanthe Muller and Amanda
Wigfall of Michigan; and grandchildren Erin Boren of Garland, TX, Joseph, Carson, Arianne, William, and George Wigfall, Jr., Ashley Parker, Michelle and Alex
Milford, all of Stockton. A Celebration of Life Memorial is planned for mid-March.
